Founded in 2012, Legacy Partners Distribution is a boutique wine and spirits distributor curating handcrafted, high-quality brands while carrying forward a legacy of quality, integrity, relationships, and uncompromising craftsmanship.
Legacy Partners Distribution, LLC (LegacyPD) was founded by Dr. Gerald Boyd, Sr. with a vision to bring handcrafted, high-quality wines and spirits to the DMV and build a distribution company rooted in quality, integrity, and relationships. Today, LegacyPD is a boutique wine and spirits distributor built for discerning palates. We seek out handcrafted, small-batch brands from responsible producers who share our commitment to authentic ingredients, thoughtful production, and uncompromising quality.
From grain-to-glass distillers to producers working with real fruit and avoiding artificial flavors, our portfolio is intentionally curated around wines and spirits that are distinctive, honest, and exceptionally made. We believe what’s in the bottle should reflect both the quality of the ingredients and the care behind the craft.
As of August 2026, Legacy is led by Dr. Shawn R. Boyd, Principal, as it enters the next chapter of growth while preserving the values on which the company was founded. Dr. Gerald Boyd, Sr. continues to serve as Founder, Senior Advisor & Strategic Counsel, providing seasoned perspective, industry insight, and strategic guidance as the company expands its reach and strengthens its partnerships.

As Senior Advisor & Strategic Counsel, he continues to provide seasoned perspective, industry insight, and strategic guidance as LegacyPD grows and evolves.

Her leadership supports the company’s day-to-day operations, internal coordination, partner service, and the processes necessary to deliver dependable execution as LegacyPD continues to grow.

Director of Warehouse & Logistics
Brandon Wright leads warehouse and logistics operations for Legacy Partners Distribution, helping ensure products move efficiently and reliably from the warehouse into the hands of LegacyPD’s customers. His role supports inventory coordination, fulfillment, and the consistent service that strengthens the company’s relationships with its retail and hospitality partners.
